Do you know how to worry? Everyone does it, so why don’t you? What is worry? Worrying is the attempt to solve problems in the future by tormenting yourself in the present.
Pick a topic, any topic. Now, imagine something bad happening in relation to that topic. Next, replay that again and again in your mind. As you replay this scenario, breath as little as possible. If you want bonus anxiety, don’t breath at all. Keep yourself completely still; don’t move a single muscle. Furrow your brow and clench your fists Think that your imagined scenario is impossible to stop, and resign yourself to failure.
That’s how to worry.
Do not under any circumstances, breathe deeply, brainstorm solutions with other empathetic human beings, ask for help or take concrete action.
If, for some strange reason, you think that you don’t want to worry anymore, practice a little mindfulness. If you notice yourself taking any of the steps above, try the prohibited actions, and you will find your worry melting away.
